1. Very pleased with the fully equipped kitchen (including a dish washer).

We went to the lobby to have the staff recommend authentic Cuban cuisine restaurants and were pleased with their selections; we asked them to print out our boarding passes since our computer did not have a printer - no problem, they were happy to assist us; and we were allowed to check out later on a Thursday, when things really get busy in South Beach.

7. Being used to the somewhat surly nature of many hotel workers in South Beach, we couldn't have been more pleased with the staff at the Strand, especially Erica at the front desk and Jamie the bellman.
