1. This was arranged by the extremely helpful and understanding Desires Manager Paola, who is an absolute credit to the hotel, and George Vesa, The Strand Hotel Manager who was also very accommodating.

8. The burn hole in our window curtains revealed that this was nothing more than a lie; upon calling the front desk, the manager stated that it was perhaps possible that people had smoked in our room due to the fact that the Strand had accommodated many people for Memorial Day.
