1. Horner the General Manager, with the news that a kitchen is being built for the bar, instead of plates of food cooling off on its journey from a far flung kitchen.

2. We didn't come to Hawaii to spend our time in the hotel so for us, the location and cool features like the manta rays that come by at night, made up for the other shortcomings.

7. one other cool thing is that you can see the manta rays at night swimming around near the shorebreak, and also dolphins during the day hang out in the same area.

9. At the end, being half true Hawaiian, she did 2 chants (of respect & gratitude) - cool, and a shuttle bus from the hotel took us back (she found my purse and returned it too - too busy taking pics of ocean etc.

10. The cool draw for this hotel is the amazing pool with waterslide and grounds, and at night manta rays come right outside the hotel because of the light shown on the water by the hotel.
