3. We encountered problem checking in as the hotel staff were unable to locate our bookings despite us having an email confirmation from the site we made our booking with and having shown it to the hotel staff.

7. Valet service is in the underground parking garage (clean and well ventilated), solving the problem of on-street parking common to most Portland Hotels and keeping you out of the rain.

8. I had to make several changes to my reservation before arriving and all communication with the reservations department was brilliant - so incredibly friendly, nothing was a problem and their customer service was really excellent, so set the tone for arrival.

9. Staff is friendly and the room we had was very comfortable, spacious and adequate for a couple with a young child, although I did notice that the sofa in the 'living room' was a sofa bed, so it would probably sleep two older children without a problem.
