6. The hotel staff were very welcoming, but not in a loud, or in an, 'I'm only being nice to you because it's my job' sort of way, as their smiles seemed real and their interest in my well-being appeared genuine.

While my personal preference is not to have very loud music playing (and I do feel that the piano playing was very intrusive and loud) that is a personal preference as I have issues with certain noises, and I don't feel my personal distaste should ding a hotel for something that most people seemed to enjoy.

8. Restaurant / Bar: We checked-in to the hotel around happy hour time as the bellman informed us, so we dropped in for a late afternoon cocktail and quickly discovered that the bar was a happening Friday afternoon local's place--it was busy, crowded and loud.

9. Once we moved our bags from the original room (on our own), I returned to the lobby, where Jamie loudly asked in front of other customers 'what did you decide - because the people that were going to check into that room are here now', which made me feel as though I was a huge inconvenience.
