3. First off, I hope Kimpton never changes its playful decorations--the lobby here has an 'oversized chinoiserie' theme and I had a hard time tearing myself away from the fireplace and grapefruit-infused water there.

4. I have a 1 year old baby in Seattle so leaving is hard to do but I feel at home at the Monaco.

5. The only thing that wasn't 5 star was the bed, just a little hard, but once I fell asleep, I was out.

6. There are really high ceilings in the guest rooms and hardly a sound can be heard from anywhere--hallway, adjacent guest room or outside--once you are ensconced within the guest rooms which are boldly but tastefully decorated.

7. The only negative i can think of was that the pullout sofa was kind of hard to open, but really, if you gotta reach that far to complain, you know you've found something good.

9. I thank the staff who worked hard to make this event very special for the Hotel Monaco guests and their children - the stuffed animal prizes we won are most loved.

10. However, its true charm is the staff, offering customer care at its best; from the valet to bell captain, desk staff, concierge and wine servers (oh yeah, hard to beat a wine hour every evening).
