1. Even knocked on our door with a 'do not disturb' sign to see if we'd want cleaning services later .

The only very minor words of warning we would give are firstly that our room didn't have tea/coffee making facilties or a safe (we had to use the coffee pots in Reception and the free safe deposit service) and secondly, there were several weddings during our stay which tend to monopolise the communal areas but we were never disturbed at night even though wedding guests were roomed nearby.

Things promised at the desk did not arrive, maid service was slow and sub-par a couple of days (no new plastic glasses or toiletries; room cleaned hours after we left one morning, with no Do Not disturb sign on the door), bartender was surly when I was sent there for coffee after the urns in the lobby were empty.

7. this was my 4th stay at the Maison Dupuy in 2009 and as always it was a great stay, the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice as always and the housekeeping crew always honored my 'do not disturb' sign unlike some hotels that knock on your door despite your request for privacy.

9. I picked this hotel because it's in the French Quarter, but not on a loud street where we would be disturbed by drunken people partying all hours of the night.
