1. It is a good hotel if only to avoid the usual Bourbon and Royal Street chaos.

2. But the location is great and you can basically walk to anywhere you want to go, thereby avoiding street-parking fees.

3. Also, I was very happy that they conveniently have computers in the lobby which you can use to check-in with your airline and print your boarding pass (avoiding the small fee you now have to pay if you do this at the airport).

4. There are different routes to take with the kids and avoid some portions of Bourbon Street.

7. Until this problem is resolved by Marriott, I would suggest that anyone with a breathing problem avoids this hotel like the plague.

8. We drove from SC and that was far cheaper than flying, but if you can fly, I definitely suggest it, if only to avoid the ridiculous parking fees (also, despite the Marriott's website claims, there is ONLY valet parking at this hotel).
