It offers a rooftop view of New Orleans and is high enough off the street to be a quiet retreat frim the
noisy
city.

Unlike the hotels in the quarter, the halls here weren't busy with rowdy guests or randomly loud and
noisy
when elevators opened.

The location is convenient; walkable distance to French Quarter, trolley and delicious restaurants and yet not
noisy
at night.

)If you want to stay at an absolutely gorgeous historic hotel that is in the heart of everything, but not too
noisy
(ie, French Quarter), this place is for you.

This room was in dire need of a makeover- old lumpy mattresses, worn bedding,
noisy
AC vent.

Also, don't stay on the ninth floor because that is where you have to get off the elevator to walk up a flight of stairs to the pool and that floor is very
noisy
if there are a lot of kids like there were when I was there.

Bathrooms are lovely, ceilings are high - and yes other reviewers have mentioned the hallways can be
noisy
but this is New Orleans for god's sake.

My only (minor) complaint was noise from the hallway - partially due to the door design, more due to inconsiderate
noisy
guests coming in quite late (early) without regard to how loud they were being.

The halls were very
noisy
during the course of the night; it was as if we were staying in an inexpensive casino in Las Vegas.
