With its location in the CBD, it is close enough to the French Quarter to walk but far enough to
avoid
the riff- raff.

The hotel is also perfectly located, as least as far as we were concerned: close enough to the French Quarter to enjoy all the fun, but far enough away to
avoid
the late night drunken shrieking and fighting.

Do yourself a favor, if you care more about the room than thr lobby,
avoid
this grand old hotel til they are willing to spend some money on a renovation.

?' I get that we are in New Orleans but we deliberately stayed out of the quarter for a little peace and quiet, and to
avoid
some of the general a**holery that the quarter offers.

No street noise, and just enough distance to
avoid
French Quarter rowdies.

This was my third trip to New Orleans and I decided to
avoid
the corporate hotels and go somewhere classic, somewhere that would really live up to the historical atmosphere that pervades New Orleans.

We managed to
avoid
the $26 a day parking fee by parking in the hotel passenger zone the entire week.

Its close enough to the Quarter to be a lot of fun but far away enough to
avoid
a lot of the undesirables.
