1. We ate all of our meals at the resort's restaurants, with the first night at Jack Daniels (I wanted to eat their 'southern fried chicken' to see if it was as good as what my mom used to make - it wasn't, but it was still good), Findley's Irish Pub (I had their fish and chips and it was wonderful - a little on the greasy side, but still a good meal), Stax (we had their hamburger and also their chicken sandwich baskets, they were ok - definitely the cheapest place we found to eat at at the resort - prepare to bring your wallet with you when staying at, and eating at, the Gaylord, it's not cheap), and Ravello's (an Italian Restaurant - I didn't know what was being offered on the menu, but the very nice waiter helped explain what everything was to me and the others at our table).

2. Best sushi I have had in the south at Wasabi, the peppercorn steak at Cascades is amazing if you can get it, and try the English pub for some fish and chips and a football game.

3. The Mexican one Solara was not too bad compared to the others but again they charge for chips and salsa, which is usually complimentary at every other Mexican restaurant.
"Beautiful Hotel. Very Expensive " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/26/2011 Vote
4. They do make their own guacomole, but it was heavily salted and served with packaged chips instead of warm, house prepared chips.

5. The rooms were clean and really nice - and you can upgrade to a room with a balcony facing out to the indoor gardens), the bathrooms were updated and clean (2 years ago the conference center that was picked in Chicago had mold in the bathroom and chipping tile - not what you want to see for $140/night.

9. How would you like to spend $22 for fish and chips? How about $25 for a room service pepperoni pizza? The resort fee is ridiculous.
