I recommend getting a book on LA - taking the Redline Tours (also negotiable and bought at the Chinese theatre with free coupons given out) and the bus is super

Lastly (and what turned out to be the real deal breaker for me) was the terrible workspace set up and the hotel's incredibly
slow
and unreliable internet connection which left me unable to work from my hotel room.
