1. The paint is worn and chipping in the rooms.

2. It is an historic hotel, so the character is going to show in nice trim, many coats of paint (sometimes chipped), thick walls (the only noise is from the very noisy street and the hallways), and the time-gone-by look of the rooms.

3. , the tub was re-enameled instead of replaced, and was starting to chip; the door knobs were old, etc - all true, so maybe this isn't a full 5 star.

4. We most of all loved the aweswome pool in the basement, by the full exercise facility, with actual teak deck lounges, unlimited towels, wonderful steam and sauna rooms, and not a chipped tile or cheap repair to be seen.
