1. BIg, bustly and noisy the Marriott SF Marquis is a hub of activitiy that's centrally located to the Moscone Center if you're so inclined to visit a trade show or conference.

The rooms are gloomy, dated and noisy (at least mine was - suggest to avoid rooms on the 'low rise elevator' floors - I was on 7th floor with view of ugly utilitarian rooftop/courtyard, and garbage trucks that made nightly pickups at 3:30 am, complete with lots of noise (woke me even with earplugs).

6. There are two rooms available one in the women's locker room right next to the gym and noisy treadmills or the other option (which I had) was the quiet room in the MALE locker room.

10. The bar on top of the hotel has great views - if the cloud hasn't rolled in, but was so noisy that you wouldn't want to meet anyone there or sit and enjoy the view over a cocktail.
