There are some good value outdoor
parking
options at 5th and Folsom and 5th and Howard, and a less expensive inside option at the Moscone garage; so if you're willing and able, walk a couple of blocks and save some $$.

We rented a car for the day to drive to Napa - it was better than renting a car from the airport and paying the outrageous daily
parking
fees.

parking
can be expensive if you bring a car, so I usually stay away from renting one for that reason until I'm 'finished' with downtown.
