1. by the way, the bathroom has no doors seperating the vanity area and the bed (due to lack of space) so if one person needs to use the bathroom, well, the entire room light is turned on.
"great location in Japantown " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/29/2012 Vote
2. The only thing lacking is storage space.
"Pleasant stay in the heart of Japantown " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/8/2012 Vote
3. The soaking tub lacks ambience (feels a bit like a gym) but the soak itself makes up for that.
"Affordable yet classy stay in Japantown, SF " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/13/2011 Vote
4. THERE IS NO Authentic JAPANESE BREAKFAST (nato, fish, nori, miso, egg, rice- the breakfast of champions), though I found no one in J Town serves this due to lack of demand.

5. The garden is pretty, but lacks integration into the overall guest experience.
"Unique experience, fraying a bit at the edges " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/12/2010 Vote
6. Front desk staff are exceedingly gracious, which will make up for the lack of attention to the front door itself: I found the greeting there to be basically non-existent.

7. And there is no lack of Japanese restaurants in the neighborhood.
"Could be a very special place, with some improvements " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/29/2008 Vote
8. The toilet is in its own room with a locking door, and there is a wall separating the bathroom/toilet area from the main room, but the shower stall door is clear glass, and a lack of another door there takes away some of the privacy, especially if you want to shower or wash at the sink while you have someone visiting your room.

9. The only drawbacks I can think of were the lack of any sort of bathrobes in the room -- a bit odd for a Japanese-style hotel -- and the rather slow wireless Internet.
"A really nice alternative. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/6/2008 Vote
10. This time the service was somewhat lacking--we didn`t get our complimentary welcome wine or our daily newspaper.
