Supposedly, some rooms have been
renov
ated, but we were obviously not in one of those (see picture of the A/C vent and blackened ceiling attached for example) although we paid the same (way too high) price, which does not feel very fair.

We read about the recent

If you do not get a

We got a big room with two double beds, which said 'newly
renov

renov

However, the lower floors in the hotel haven't been
renov
ated as thoroughly as the upper floors I think, so it had a more budget feel than the website photos appear.

When one sees "Boutique Hotel," one often expectes a shabby-chic

After staying in several San Francisco hotels during the past 15 years while visitng our daughter, we've settled on the Kabuki as our best choice, particularly since its
renovation
and expansion a couple years ago.
"Room size, layout, view and furnishings were excellent, as is its location. "
