1. Super-fast elevator, took like 10 seconds to go from 1st floor to 52nd, and not uncomfortable at all.
"Great location and view, super-fast elevator, competent front desk " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/16/2012 Vote
2. In fact , after checking out in the morning and checking our bags with the bell desk for a few hours, when my travel companions and I came back to the hotel mid-afternoon to pick up our bags from to head to the airport, some overzealous staff member accosted us (and most other patrons) as we walked in the door and demanded we show our room keys (which, having checked out, we didn't have, so we explained that we were there to pick up our bags) and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome--so much so that he essentially made us feel we needed to wait outside in the 90 degree heat for our airport transportation rather than waiting inside.

3. Some people may be uncomfortable with the location of the hotel, directly next to Ground Zero in lower Manhattan, but that didn't bother us.

5. Paid for a King size bed room with a city view and ended up in a weird accessible room with a building in front and a very uncomfortable queen size bed for two.

6. The staff in the lobby were always too busy chatting amongst themselves to help you with any queries (and didn't even say 'good morning' or wish us a Happy Christmas on Christmas morning), the staff in the leisure club either fooled around at the side of pool or kept a constant stare on you if you were in the pool (which made my wife very uncomfortable) and the even the staff in the restaurant went out of their way to be unhelpful when my wife asked to take a menu up to our room (as I was ill one day) and they refused to give her a menu.
