1. The first night there I got no sleep as this water pump kept cycling on and off every 30-40 seconds and as it cycled it would make this huge loud banging (almost explosion) sound that would keep me awake.

2. Be aware the hotel can be a bit loud at night if you are in the front and on a lower floor; but the hotel provides ear plugs and after a day of exploring New York City you will be too tired to care about the noise.

3. This wasn't the steady hum of a city, it was occasional (but frequent) loud bursts of trash compacting, trucks backing up, horns honking, and sirens wailing.

4. I note that people have commented on the noise, there is no doubt it is noisy but this is not a fault of the hotel, it's a city and it's always loud due to sirens etc.

5. The aircon in the living room was also very loud, in fact louder than the TV, and despite we brought the attention of the receptionist, it appeared they were aware of the problem and there was nothing they could do about it.

7. The bed was comfortable enough if we could haved had the air conditioning woking whilst sleeping, but we couldn,t instead we had to endure four sticky hot New York Summer nights as the aircon was too loud to sleep through.
