3. which, don't get me wrong, is fine if that's what you're expecting and if you were paying more modest prices (not even including the resort fee they charge per day).

4. It seems wrong to be charging full price for a 'luxury' resort when simple things like a nice dinner and a gift shop are still unavailable.

5. What has gone wrong here? Bring back the mai tais, reinstall the screen doors and let in the warm moisture that distinguishes Hawaii from say Seattle in January.

6. Lava's restaurant: we only went there once, but the wait staff brought us the wrong drinks (a Mai Tai to one of us who doesn't drink alcohol, a sugary coke to one of us who requested Diet,) and the wrong chips - taro, not potato.

7. OVerall there was nothing wrong the the Sheraton but for the cost compared with other hotels I believe it was overpriced for what you got.

9. We only ate at the hotel's poolside bar/restaurant (which was pretty good) since the buffet seemed like basic, overpriced buffet hotel food (I could be wrong, though).

10. After all this I spoke with Craig, who is the front desk manager and he agreed that what Jean had done was wrong and would take the necessary steps to make it right including telling his supervisor.
