1. The hotel is beautifully decorated and styled - the rooms are a little small, but I didn't mind one bit, I enjoyed lounging in my room on the beautiful ice-blue settee, listening to my music on the speaker system, it was very quiet - I enjoyed the super comfortable bed, and while people complained about no in-room coffee, I barely noticed as the 12th floor lounge was just up the hallway, completely with coffee and other things to try.

2. My five-year-old daughter also happens to be in love with getting to sleep on the fainting sofas in the rooms when we break away for mommy-daughter getaways :) And I will never complain about the showers which are a little vacation in themselves.

3. When I inquired how to spell Brandon's last name so I could complain, suddently the clerk stated that she was upgraded to a different room and quickly handed her the key.

4. it wasn't too bad - but do ask to change, as my colleague complained and was switched to a premium room with an outside view.

5. I didn't call down to complain and simply put on my earplugs in, but was a little surprised that hotel security didn't see that during their rounds.

8. Most hotels in downtown Portland don't have pools/hot tubs, so I can't really complain about that.
"Great Location, Classy Hotel!! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/6/2010 Vote
9. The only downside would be that our room really didn't have a view (we looked out on a wall outside), however we got a very cheap rate on Hotwire, so I guess we can't complain much about not getting the best room.
"Fantastic Hotel, Right in the Center of It All " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/21/2010 Vote
10. BTW - for anyone who complains about staying on the top floor (14) due to the columns blocking part of the view I think they are complaining about nothing (plus there is a photo on the Nines website clearly showing these columns so it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone).
