(I will warn you though, if crowds of drunk 20 and 30-somethings are not your thing,
avoid
Fridays at Departure, the most popular--and only rooftop--bar in Portland, as it gets a little carried away.

the $32/nt charge for parking by dropping your luggage with the bellman and parking your own car in one of the many nearby public garages.

Upon reading a few bad reviews after booking our room I decided maybe it would be best to give the hotel a call and maybe request a room on a higher floor to
avoid
any issues with noise since we will be travelling with elderly family for a wedding.

Overall this is still my favorite hotel in Portland and I will continue to stay there, unless the children come along--then we will have to find another hotel to

the allergy issue.
