1. Clearly, this place had its heyday in 1958 and has been on a slow steady decline ever since.

3. Finally at 4pm, you discover unsurprisingly that at lot of others have been wanting to check in too and there is a queue of about 50 people at the desk, being assisted (slowly and poorly) by two people, while dozens of other Deauville employees swan around the lobby doing nothing.
