1. The only downside was that we left here to go to the JW Marriott on Oahu, which was a terrible let down from the Kea Lani.

4. You definitely need a car to get around as there isn't anywhere to walk to buy local food which was a downside for us - I'd rather walk to somewhere to grab a cup of local maui coffee or something to eat instead we had to drive to the Shops at Wailea (higher end shopping center).

The downside of this hotel is that it was quite windy for the duration of our stay, with the main drawback being that the waves on the beach made it somewhat unpalatable to be there with 5-year olds (except very near the shore), and that it sometimes disturbed the underlying coral and fish with some choppy waters while snorkeling.
