1. We had read about slow elevators, but we never experienced that at all.

2. I did get frustrated with the elevators which seemed slow and ill equipped to handle the number of people staying in the hotel, although I was there in the busier new year period.

5. My understanding is that this is also a condominium, so there were always lots of people coming and going and the elevators were slow and always crowded.

6. We have stayed at both of the mentioned properties and although they have beautiful grounds, the crowds and price don't come close to the serenity and slow pace of the Ilikai.

7. Additionally, roadworks were going on infront of the hotel (Ala Moana Blvd) at night which made getting back to the hotel a little slow.

10. The courtyard restaurant is so-so, slow service and not a big menu, but there are so many other places to eat right in the area - including the Hilton Hawaiian Village and McD's and Subway right across the street.
