1. The entrance may also be a problem for some - there is an elevator but it is tucked away so you need to ask where it is if the stairs are difficult.

2. Most of the owners seem to be Americans in their 70's plus and they think they have the right to any sunbed etc which made things difficult as there were only 50 beds for a hotel that had 400 rooms.

5. At first sight, from the outside, the hotel appears like it could do with a coat of paint, but that's were the negatives end and it is difficult to constantly maintain steel work when right next to the beach.

7. The only 2 minor set backs are that it was difficult and confusing to find (it is located inside the Ilikai Hotel and there is another hotel across the street called 'Waikiki Marina') and that it is a bit far from the main Waikiki strip with all the happenings, restaurants, shops, etc.

8. Just below the sand is cement (the ultimate cement pond) so building sand castles is difficult at best.
