1. In the morning, we enjoyed the nice continental breakfast and the staff was unbelievably friendly--ready to help us with everything from working the toaster and recommending great restaurants in downtown SB.

5. Downtown Santa Barbara is about 1.5 miles away so we drove but it would make for a scenic walk past the beach if you like walking.

6. You are kind of out of the way - too far to walk to downtown but the shuttle runs every 15 minutes so it really isnt a problem and there are taxis all over town as well.

7. It is a bit of a walk to the downtown / boardwalk but it is along the beach so if you are in a strolling mood, the location is perfect.
