3. The best thing about this hotel is Jake`s Grill downstairs -- which has an excellent bar, bartender, decor, service, happy hour (late night) food menu, etc. If you stay here, be sure to visit Jake`s and check out the beautiful native American Indian murals in the lobby area.

4. Some of the best food carts in Portland are right outside the hotel: you must check out Cuba de Cuba if you like rice and beans.

10. Upon check in, we were told the hotel was unsure if we could have a late check out the next day because so many guests there had also asked for a late check out due to the race.
