1. This is a very good hotel with a great rock theme, fun entertainment and good, although somewhat variable, attitude on pricing of drinks, food, mini-bar etc. You can get some good deals if you book in advance directly on their website, but the most impressive benefit is the universal express / fast pass and the early park entry that you get by being a resident at Hard Rock hotel.

8. If I got a great deal on a room here, I would return, but if you are not getting the park benefits, it is way too expensive for a hotel.

We were also able to enter the park 1 hour before general entry which allowed us to do the rides not covered by the Express Pass (Harry Potter Adventure) If we had bought the cards (3 people) in the park they would have cost $70pp/day for the dates we were there, which is more than we paid for the room - great deal as we did EVERYTHING in universal in 2 days by bypassing the lines.
