1. It costs a bit more, but the early park entrance, unlimited fast pass on all rides, closeness to the park and quality of the hotel and staff make it a good value.

4. For the cost of a regular cab, you get a more comfortable ride in an SUV with a very nice and friendly driver.

For those who think its in the pricier bracket but would love to stay heres a tip on a 2 week family vacation with the family it could cost a small fortune as my family has grown its become less affordable, but if you happen to find a more reasonable place to stay you could treat yourself and stay 1 or 2 nights here ie at the end of your stay and get full use out of the parks with the room key acting as your fast pass on those days.

I would say if you are coming to Universal, stay on property as the extra cost is very much worth it for convenience, especially with kids and no waiting in line The walk from our hotel to the park took less than 10 minutes, it was very scenic, or you could take the water shuttle, which was only 2 mins.
