1. I did wonder about the option to forgo housekeeping in exchange for $50 credit for another stay (or some SPG points), but I needed new towels (and shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion, of course!) and wanted someone to empty the trash each day.

8. Obviously, this was a unique situation, but if the level of service was this bad in an emergency, can you imagine what it will be like for something without the urgency, like a request for new towels.
