4. Having visited NY this past St Patrick's Day weekend, at first, I was a little concerned about the location because the neighborhood felt a little sketchy, I quickly realized that it was really a welcome respite from the hard partying going on just two or three avenues up on 9th and 8th.

5. While there are not the kind of establishments in the immediate area of this hotel which make up for a neighborhood of 'supportive services' like in other sections of NYC, this hotel became a kind of oasis in the middle of this west side location.
