1. We needn't have worried, The room we had was more like a junior suite (835) with a large bed, a seating area with sofa, microwave and fridge, 2 TV's.
"Great location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/4/2010 Vote
2. However, upon arrival our room was immediately upgraded to a junior suite - fantastic - it was huge.

4. We have left and gone to the staybridge suites $189 per night absolutely superb friendly staff and lovely and clean.

5. The bathroom again was small and I'd say the suite was a good few years old but it was clean, everything worked, the shower was great and we got clean towels on a daily basis so I was more than happy.
"Great Hotel! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/18/2010 Vote
6. If you are expecting or want luxury suites book them in somewhere like the peninsula.
"Ignore the negative reviews, it's brilliant! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/3/2010 Vote
7. I asked if it would be possible to get an upgrade and was given a suite free of charge which was huge.
"ALMOST PERFECT!! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/13/2009 Vote
8. Everything is worn, the front desk staff (at least those I experienced, granted it was an after midnight arrival) cool and dressed in cheap suits, the elevators worn out, hallways depressing and then the room--with its torn lampshades, extension cords and rattling old AC unit--for what?$389 a night.
"Tired Old Lady " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/16/2009 Vote
9. So I can't say I would personally recommend this hotel, unless you have big $$$ to stay in a suite.
"Eh... has it's pros and cons " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/21/2009 Vote
10. The rooms are very small, best suited to wash up and sleep - not to stay in for long periods, use the lobby - more pleasant.
"Loved NYC but Will not be returning to the Roosevelt " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/18/2009 Vote
