The hotel is on Upper Westside and I consider that the best location to base in NYC, it has everything for a local neighbourhood - countless bars, restaurants, cinemas and even a theatre (next door to Beacon), but best of all its a clean area and a Godsend to come back to if you have been to Hell (Times Square).

9. The only downside is there is no bar, or cafe area, which is unusual for a hotel of this size, although there is a great market across the road and upstairs is a cool cafe type restaurant, were you can get a very good breakfast or any kind of meal.

10. The location is wonderful--close to Central Park, the Natural History museum, many excellent restaurants, just a short walk to Lincoln Center and the Metropolitan Museum and not a long one to the Museum of Modern Art.
