1. Short walk from central park, quick cab ride from downtown, with lots of great, cheap and authentic eating opportunities nearby.

2. It's proximity to 72nd street subway is great as it allows easy access to downtown, but is far enough up town to be a bit more chilled at night than Soho and the like.

5. Subway is a block or so away and the express runs through so you can be right downtown in under 10 minutes.

6. The location is brillant, as it's not in the crazy hustle and bussle of downtown, but is only a short subway ride from Times Square etc, and three blocks from Central Park.

7. The subway is on 72nd street so again, worth using this to go downtown etc.We would stay here again, it really is a lovely hotel.

10. All in all a great place to stay that allows you to unwind from the hustle of downtown but is still close to all the sites of new York.
