1. Hotel is located in a great, quiet spot on the Upper West Side, across the road from a Fairway Supermarket and just a block from a subway station, The room was a nice size, clean, it had a handy little kitchenette, the bathroom was a little dated but still fine, and most conveniently it has a laundry facility, which was on our floor.

Hotel do-your-own Laundry facilities were the best (clean, and dryers were fast -no shrink) we found in our whole 5 week holiday through West & East coast USA- all other laundries after were compared to the Beacon benchmark!(There is a couple of wash & folds about 1 block walk to Amsterdam St, $1.50 per pound, we used these when too tired to do laundry.
