1. We ate breakfast in the room a few times - just cereal and toast but the kitchen was more than adequate and a great way of keeping your costs down.

7. Hint for laundry service - go to one of the laundry shopfronts just one street back from the hotel - prices are around US$1 per pound of clothes for washing and drying and folding - minumum cost is usually $10; also, because there are quite a few of these places, price around and negotiate - may also get free pickup from, and return delivery to the hotel.
"Great spot for touring New York " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/27/2011 Vote
8. The last cab - The day of my departure the front desk called some sort of airport van for my transportation (I requested a taxi and this is what they ordered) and the driver over charged me, tipped himself $5 and then didn't have enough change on him to break a ten dollar bill which meant he further padded his cost.
"Fantastic Hotel, Great Staff & Great Location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/15/2011 Vote
9. On the way back we used the subway - dead easy from the Hotel - from 72nd to Columbus then change on the platform and get the A train which links to the Sky train - sounds difficult but isn't and it cost about $7 each).
"Would definitely go back " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/11/2011 Vote
