1. Its not the Ritz but it had everything I needed including pleasant staff - room safe, small fridge and microwave, two double beds and a pull out double sofa bed (all fine to sleep on) TV's in both rooms etc. We did eat breakfast the following day at an additional cost which was nice - chefs could be a little more attentive as I had to wait but the food was good and fresh when served so no complaints.

2. We were offered an upgrade to a two room suite when we chcked in at no additional cost and that made our stay very comfortable - as we were sharing the costs between three it was quite reasonable.

3. I was by far one of the nicest rooms I have stayed in in New York and it cost half as much as some of the other hotels we have chosen in the past.

6. We were in the room to sleep and change our clothes so it was fine and the cost was reasonable with three of us sharing.

7. We split the room/cost with another family - there were 5 of us total and that worked out great; you could easily do 6 and sleep 2 in the pullout sofa.

9. We had a times square view room on the 26th floor looking straight at the ball drop, can't imagine what it would cost New years Eve!the room was basically a lounge with a pull out sofa and a main bedroom, tightish space wise for 4 adults but you don't go to NY for the room space.
