1. We prefer Downtown Manhattan, but getting there and back by cab was both easy and reasonably priced (compared with London) - except for the 'Hurricane Irene' days.

Next time we stay in new York we probably won't stay at the same hotel but that is purely down to the fact we would like to try a hotel further downtown, downtown areas like Greenwich Village and Meat packing District are really charming places and we fancied staying at the Ganservoort Hotel next time with a roof top pool and bar.
