1. One morning I mentioned to John at reception that we were going out shopping and he promptly handed me a 20% discount card for Bloomingdales, plus gave us some great tips for shopping downtown.

2. The location is fabulous right in the centre of manhattan so its perfect for exploring uptown as well as downtown its also pretty close to 5th avenue which is handy for last minute shopping.

10. Personally, next time I go, I will stay somewhere further downtown, in a quieter area, with less theme restaurants, but if someone asked me to recommend a mid level hotel, near Times Square then this would be my recommendation.
