1. There is a free shuttle as well but we never used it.

2. The hotel is located outside the town of Kona and if you dont have a car the Kona shuttle is a fantastic cheap mode of transport to Kona town.

5. When you go in to town you get off at the port & then Kmart, Walmart & other shops have free shuttles that then take you up the hill and along to their stores & back regularly.

7. A free shuttle bus will take you downtown every hour or so if you want to take it (parking on Ali'i in Kailua-Town is a PAIN)Look folks, this isn't the best hotel or resort on the Big Island.

8. The hotel is a few miles outside Kona but there is a free shuttle bus and taxi's are readily available ( approx $20 with tip) but you really need a car to get the best from the island.

9. It is a $15 cab ride if you don't want to wait for the free shuttle (which can sometimes take 1-2 hours between visits).
