5. When we tried it on one of the open nights, we nearly missed out again because the kitchen closes down at 8 p.m. The food was of average quality, but at least the price was reasonable.

The good part: Great views, great price on Expedia for an ocean view room, beautiful grounds, full (eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, etc) free breakfast, next door to a good farmer's market/craft fair on Wed, next door to Kahalu'u snorkeling, hotel outdoor bar with sunset views, adjacent to historical grounds.
