1. The resort is well located for visiting the interesting historical sites and other attractions in downtown Kailua-Kona, beautiful Kealakekua Bay, and the excellent Puuhonua O Honaunua National Historical Park.

6. We had a rental car for exploring the beautiful Kona coastline, but if you prefer not to get frustrated with the limited parking situation downtown, there's a free shuttle which stops in front of the Outrigger about every hour (request a shuttle schedule).
