1. After reading the reviews, I was worried about termites, and although we saw one, the room was quite nice and the location was great.

4. We found Metropole for a LOWER rate (it was a Monday night, that might have helped) and not only did they have heated rooms but a very helpful and friendly staff, very modern rooms with huge flat screen tvs and comfortable bedding.

5. My friends expensive winter snow boots that she took off in the hotel room and left there for obvious reasons-We are from up north, she obviously had no reason to traipse around South Beach wearing thick snowboots.
