1. The pool was especially excellent for young kids, it has a walk in very shallow end that the kids can just hang out in and be safe with supervision.

As a Diamond Honors member I was also given wristbands to get access to the pool area (never was asked to show them) and discounts on various things around the property as well as a continental breakfast voucher for all five days for two people, which, to my surprise was good not only for the downstairs breakfast, but also for them to bring it to the room.

As a side note, the last two years I have stayed in Fort Lauderdale at their Hilton and despite being an older property I would have to say that this is better for families since it is directly on the beach, the in room washer/dryer, the pool is much more kid-friendly since it is zero-entry, and the beach people really cater to the kids.
