1. Given that you're not likely to find shade anyway, is it really that big of a deal to wait until 8:30am instead of 7am.

And then there's the colored wrist band deal to get towels (not terribly classy), especially when, after bringing our towels up to the pool from the beach (where we did not need wristbands) were were ordered by the pool staff that both my husband and I had to go in person back down the stairs to the activity desk to get wristbands.

7. The resort is very pricy but we purchased it in a packaged deal that included our flight from where we lived on Oahu to Maui and the rental car, so the overall price was much better than doing it all separate.
