1. Even the Asian massage places in the San Fernando Valley know that up-sells are supposed to come at the end of the massage, not 10 minutes after the start!:)Seriously, it does not take a business degree to figure out that one of the best ways to insure that guests will not come back is to charge them for things that 'lessor quality' hotels are happy to include for no additional charge.

5. For about $150 per night less we were on the Regency Club level with continental breakfast , evening appetizers and deserts at 7:30 no mandatory valet and a computer all set for you in the lobby free of charge to print your boarding pass .

9. Our bill included hundreds of dollars of charges that we never made including a large bar bill that we never incurred (huge charge for numerous Heineken beers which neither I nor my wife drink) We had to speak with several people at the front desk before anyone would agree to adjust the bill.
