Also in these tight times I would recommend bringing your drink (both water ($7 in hotel) & alcohol) - We spent more on
lunch
alone with an reasonably priced entree each and 2 cocktails each than we did on the room.

The only negative (it was significant to us because the purpose of trip was decompressing and sitting oceanside to have nice
lunch
& cocktails) was the fact that they had a DJ pumping very loud house type club music at the poolside/ocean front bar which is just not conducive to a relaxing Saturday afternoon by the ocean - it was very annoying.

We did not try room service because of the inflated price for delivery, however
lunch
and dinner at Cabanas were great, particularly because of the view.

There are
lunch
places within a mile of the hotel but you're better off spending the $2 per person, one way, to take the S or L bus (it picks you up right in front of the hotel) to the Lincoln Rd area.

That means you pretty much have to eat
lunch
at the restaurant overlooking the beach and boardwalk area.
