1. The positives of the hotel are its location (if you want to be near Coconut Grove) views of Biscayne Bay and the lights of Miami, and its staff- the reception desk staff and the parking staff were very professional.

2. If you don't want to use valet parking, you can park for free at the first parking lot on the right which you see right after going through the gate onto the island.

As an example we stayed at another place with a 20 resort fee and that included parking, free rides to anywhere within the resort, all gratuities (except restaurant staff), free towels, water in the room, access to the gym, and probably other things I did not take advantage of) this hotel just seemed stuck in the past to me.

What disturbed us very much was the very old air conditioners that make a lot of noise and made it impossible for us to sleep through - it was impossible to switch it off unfortunately and the helpful staff could not do anything about it - however they reiumbursed to us the very expensive parking fee which was an effort.
