They have tons of parking and we all know wifi should be free, but non-the-less it is added to your bill.

Considering this includes free parking, free
wireless
(although the
wireless
is very slow), and 2 bottles of water per day, it is actually not a bad deal, since we used all of those 'perks'.

- Very nice hotel, big rooms, free wifi, spectacular balconies, comfy beds, very clean- 10-15 min drive to Kailua-Kona- no better hotel for the price-range on the Big Island, as far as my planning & experiences go.

There were a few pros to the property:1) Great service around the pool (food left a lot to be desired as did drinks)2) Resort Fee was a deal for the kids eat free (my son did eat free by the way, not at 50% off as some printed materials indicated)3) 2 free cocktails per stay with resort fee4) good wifi signal for use around pool5) fridge in room for snacks and drinksAll in all, we had a good time, but just continued to note one issue after another with the property.

The bad part is they charge (gouge) a 'resort' fee from you for parking and wifi.

Internet only connects (if at all) for 2 or 3 pages before the wifi drops - described as 'high speed'.

There was a $15 amenity fee but no parking fee and there was
wireless
in the room and water.

As most reviewers mentioned, this place is undergoing renovation so there are some issues related to the process-some floors are not open, there's a walk to get to the front desk, the decor is not 100% there, etc. There's also a $20 resort fee that covers parking & WiFi.

Hotel was fine but why not be honest enough to include all unavoidable charges in the room rate rather than pretend that parking in a massive car park in the middle of nowhere, a bottle of water, unwanted local phone calls and wifi is worth $140 per week.
"Shabby practices "
